Wedding Wednesday: Kyle + Whitney Pind // September 26th, 2014

From high school sweethearts to newlyweds, Whitney and Kyle Pind tied the knot at The Wheeler House on September 26th, 2014.
As the saying goes, "You never forget your first love..." and in this case that is absolutely true.

Whitney and Kyle met when they were freshmen in high school and dated for two years before going their separate ways in order to "have other experiences." Five years later, Kyle asked Whitney to grab a drink, and 6 months later they said "I do" under the arbor at The Wheeler House in front of their friends and family.

"We went 5 years before reuniting at the age of 23 and from then on we knew we were right for each other."
At the age of 15 there are not many things you can do without your parents around...besides go to the school dances and football games. So, their first "date" after being broken up for so long was the most memorable to Whitney...
"Kyle asked me to have a drink at a bar to catch up and I still always thought about him and still loved him in a way. So we were both really nervous when we met for the drink but as soon as we got to talking neither one of us could stop. I think we got to the bar around 6 and stayed and talked until it closed which was around 10."
They were so excited to be with one another again that they ended up going somewhere else after and could not get over the fact that they had reunited and were spending an entire evening together, after five long years of being apart...
"We both knew that we were the ones for each other.... He kissed me and I knew I had never been happier and that this was the start of something amazing."
When it came to the proposal, Kyle did it "just the way I [Whitney] would want it." She came home from school on March 10th, 2014 to find her boyfriend, Kyle, putting dinner on a table with flowers and a bottle of champagne. He proceeded to get down on one knee...
"and of course I said yes!"
They wanted a fall wedding in September or October and did not want to wait any longer... so after looking at 2 other venues, they pulled up to The Wheeler House and knew right then that it was just the place they were looking for.
"It was so beautiful and everything I was looking for in a rustic barn wedding. I am not really the fancy church type so the beautiful old house and barn blew me away, we really needed no convincing at all."

"The wedding planning process was a breeze. Karen made it so easy and had everything we needed to make our special day just that. I have to throw a shout out to Laura too because she stepped in at the last minute and rocked it..."

"We just loved the atmosphere, everything was so beautiful and romantic it truly took our breath away. We loved the lights in the trees and all of the rustic touches that made our wedding one everyone will remember."
They wanted a rustic, chic barn wedding and had mostly DIY decor with touches of gray and yellow.

Whitney and Kyle said the best part of their wedding was marrying their 'loves' and saying their vows in front of their closest friends and family...
"Married life is wonderful. I am so lucky and so grateful to get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend." ~Whitney
They left the day after their wedding for their honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico and stayed for an entire week...
"& It was amazing."
Whitney and Kyle are excited to start their lives together and have big plans to move to Vancouver in a year to start a family. They are both ecstatic to jump into a new chapter of life together, and we couldn't be happier for them!
Congratulations, Whitney and Kyle! Thank you for allowing us to share in your special day.
